AUTOUR DE LA FLÛTE
Sous la direction de la flûtiste historique Mika Putterman, Autour de la flûte invite sur scène différentes formations musicales sur instruments d’époque; duos, trios, quatuors, quintets et orchestre de chambre. Autour de la flûte accueille différents artistes et ensembles renommés, dont Suzie Leblanc, Barthold Kuijken, Cecelia Bernardini, Discantvs, Les Voix Humaines, La Petite Harmonie, Pascal Valois et Notturna. Grâce à cette diversité, les auditeurs découvrent l’étendue harmonique, la couleur et la beauté de la flûte en bois entouré de musiciens talentueux.
MIKA PUTTERMAN, fondatrice et directrice artistique
Reconnue pour sa sonorité et son jeu expressif, la flûtiste Mika Putterman partage avec le public sa passion pour la recherche et la connaissance historique. Après avoir obtenu un baccalauréat en interprétation de musique ancienne de l’Université McGill (Montréal), elle fut admise au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. Elle obtient en 2001 son diplôme du Koninklijk Conservatorium de Bruxelles, où elle a été l’élève de Barthold Kujken et de Marc Hantaï.
Mika est la directrice artistique de l’ensemble Autour de la flûte et un membre fondateur de La Petite Harmonie, un ensemble à vents romantiques. Mika joue avec Notturna, Arion, Tafelmusik, Caprice, Il Fondamento, XVIII-21 et Les Menus Plaisirs du Roy. Elle a été l’invitée de plusieurs festivals internationaux dont Montréal Baroque, le Festival international de Lamèque, le Festival Bach de Montréal, le Festival Bach de St. Malo et le Festival de musique de Nantes. Mika a notamment travaillé sous la direction de Kent Nagano, Bernard Labadie, Daniel Cuiller, Paul Dombrecht, Manfredo Kramer, Barthold Kujken, Jeanne Lamon, Hervé Niquet, Jaap Ter Linden et Dominique Visse. Mika en enregistré de nombreux concerts pour par CBC et Radio-Canada, et a enregistré sous les étiquettes early-music.com (nominé aux Prix Junos) et ATMA Classique. Son disque solo de Beethoven et Hummel, avec le fortepianiste australien Erin Helyard est sortie sous l’étiquette Outhere.

Known for her beautiful sound and expressive playing, flautist Mika Putterman shares her passion for research and historical knowledge with audiences. After receiving her Bachelor's degree from McGill University in Montreal, Mika was accepted at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. In 2001, she received her Masters from the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Brussels where she studied with Barthold Kuijken and Marc Hantaï.
Mika is the artistic director of Autour de la flûte (nominated for an Opus Prize for “best concert of the year”) and is a founding member of La Petite Harmonie, a romantic wind ensemble. Mika has performed with Notturna, Arion, Tafelmusik, Caprice, Il Fondamento, XVIII-21, and Les Menus Plaisirs du Roy. She has been invited to play in various international festivals such as Montreal Baroque, Lamèque International Festival, the Montreal Bach Festival, the Festival Bach de St. Malo, and the Nantes musique festival. She has had the privilege of working with such conductors as Kent Nagano, Bernard Labadie, Daniel Cuiller, Paul Dombrecht, Manfredo Kramer, Barthold Kuijken, Jeanne Lamon, Hervé Niquet, Jaap Ter Linden and Dominique Visse.
Mika has recorded many concerts for both the CBC and Radio-Canada, and has recorded as a soloist with labels early-music.com (nominated for a Juno Award) and ATMA Classique. Mika’s debut solo recording with the Belgian label Outhere, of Beethoven and Hummel on romantic flute, with the fortepianist Erin Helyard.
Under the direction of historical flutist Mika Putterman, Autour de la flûte showcases period instrument duos, trios, quartets, quintets and chamber orchestra. Autour de la flûte has welcomed renowned artists and ensembles as Suzie Leblanc, Barthold Kuijken, Ceclia Bernardini, Discantvs, Les Voix Humaines, La Petite Harmonie and Notturna.
